“Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

- Helen Keller

Following God is about living a life of spiritual adventure. It isn’t about fitting into a mold, conforming to a set of rules, it’s about encountering God’s value, love and passion for your life. Someone once asked, “has the church done to people, what the zoo does to animals. Do we put them in cages?” That is a good question. If you have ever seen a whale in the ocean in it’s natural beauty, or an eagle soaring in the wide open blue skies this comment makes sense. God created us to spread our wings and soar into the plans and purposes he has for us. God’s desire is that we would quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. He created us to be free from fear, to find every excuse to celebrate everything we can and to quit playing defense and discover his purpose for our lives.

E3 is an honest community of faith. The people are real, and are working hard to live in the light of God’s acceptance, favor and grace. Discovering God’s love and value are a lifelong journey. Church isn’t a what, it’s a who! It’s about you, it’s about me, it’s about us! We are the church. Church can become the most difficult place on earth to be honest, because we have this idea that God loves the perfect version of ourselves. Nothing can be farther from the truth. He loves the real you. E3 Church is one of the best kept secrets in the city of Scottsdale dedicated to discovering our identity in who God has made us to be, developing authentic relationships by doing life together, and opening our eyes to the moral and spiritual dilemmas of our day: poverty, human trafficking, unclean drinking water, unreached areas of the world with the gospel.

Ministries include: men, women, married couples, children, outreach, missions, media, marketplace

E3 Church meets every Sunday at 10 AM

16445 N. 91st Street
Scottsdale, AZ 85260

• Friendly people • Relaxed atmosphere • Passionate worship • Relevant truth from God’s Word

E3 Church gets its name for three “E” words that we are passionate about:

Engage We are passionate about engaging our world with the unconditional love of God. We want to change the way the world sees God. He isn’t a dictator in the heavens waiting to strike us down with a lightning bolt. He is an amazing father, who believes in us, cares for us and desires for us to discover life beyond our wildest dreams.

Experience God is not information on a page. He is real and desires to have a relationship with us. He wants us to experience him as we compassionately use our gifts to serve others, build others, and encourage others. He wants us to enjoy fellowship with other people and in so doing experience a real relationship with him.

Elevate As a result of encountering God’s love for us, we start to become less judgmental of others and we start to be more accepting of our own faults and flaws. We stop living in the past and start moving into the vision that God has for us. We stop attaching significance to the events of the past, and the hurts of others, and we start seeing ourselves the way that God sees us. As a result, our lives get transformed, and things get better.

It is important to know where something is headed before you get on-board. There are many stories about people who get on a plane only to find out they were headed in the wrong direction. Churches, like planes, have a direction and we believe that it is important that you understand which direction we believe God has us going. We don’t want our beliefs and values to be a barrier to people who…

Core Vineyard Values
Throughout its history, the Vineyard movement has fostered a conversation about the kingdom of God. This conversation is ongoing, and so it is important both to remind those in the movement of what these concepts involve and to introduce those new to the Vineyard to these distinctive emphases.

Vineyard Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE that God is the Eternal King. He is an infinite, unchangeable Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power and love. From all eternity He exists as the One Living and True God in three persons of one substance, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.

What We Believe About the Bible
What does VCNP believe about the Bible? The Bible is the biggest best seller of all times, translated into more languages and read by more people than any other single book. Despite its popularity, many people today are completely unfamiliar with it. Where did the Bible come from? How do we know if the events recorded in the Bible really happened? How is the Bible relevant to my life today?…

Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning Services
These services are all identical, opening with a few worship songs followed by a teaching.

Sunday Evening
The first and third Sunday evening of each month is Illuminate, a service geared towards young adults (18-30 something).

Come as you are. We look forward to meeting you!

Children’s ministries are available during all services

Phoenix Valley Church of Christ

The Phoenix Valley church has a history filled with many positives and some negatives. While we are presently trying to learn our lessons from the negatives in order to avoid repeating them, we want to remain appreciative of all of the good things that God has accomplished through the years. Souls have been saved, lives have been changed, spiritual marriages have been initiated, unspiritual marriages have been radically altered for the good, children have been born to godly parents, and lives have been blessed through a relationship with God and with one another. May we never forget that our Savior has blessed us in abundant ways, both great and small!

At this point in our history, certain needs are readily apparent. We have been in the process of examining who we are as individual disciples and who we are as a church. The results of this examination are not clear to all of us, which necessitates a time of clarification and renewal. We are on the verge of appointing elders and deacons, thus becoming a biblically organized church. According to Hebrews 13:17, elders “keep watch over you as men who must give an account.” The desire of the elders and other leaders is that we as a church are pointed in directions that enable them to keep watch over each member of the flock. Much thought and prayer has gone into putting into words what these needed directions are at this present time. We appreciate the ministry staff, the elders in training, the Temporary Advisory Group, and the Regional Core Groups for their input as this material was formulated. The elders and evangelists will be providing in the near future a much condensed synopsis of this material that will serve to help us define our present membership. May God use this time of clarification and renewal to guide our feet individually and collectively into the paths that he desires for us.

The Bible is a book about love. Therefore, the top priorities in the Bible all have to do with relationships. Jesus made that point clear in this familiar quote from Matthew 22:37-40: “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Simply stated, we are to love God and love people — our physical family, the church (God’s spiritual family) and the lost (those whom God wants in his family). As we renew our pledge to Jesus as Lord, our basic core convictions about what his Lordship means in our lives should reflect these priorities. If we build our lives around these priorities, both as disciples and as a group of disciples in the church, we will remain pointed in the right direction and will not be led in wrong directions. While our focus must be upon the future and not the past, maintaining love as our foundation will protect us from repeating the mistakes of the past.

If we as a church of disciples are to be “perfectly united in mind and thought” (1 Corinthians 1:10), we need to identify the basics of what that unity should include. Obviously, many basic tenets of Christianity could be noted, for we are conservative Bible believing people. However, the primary need of the hour is to identify those basic convictions that we can agree are essential for us to be committed to at this time in our history. Since much of our present lack of clarity is about the Body of Christ, the church, extra attention will be given to this area. This does not mean that this area is more important than any of the others, but our present need for clarification lies more in this area than in the others. For this reason, more attention will be given to it. Remember the focus Jesus had on the church, for in the forty days between his resurrection and ascension, his teaching was about the kingdom (Acts 1:3). Please consider the following biblical principles that seem to fit under the heading of love for God and love for people.

Phoenix, Arizona church hunting can be difficult with such a variety of Phoenix Christian churches to choose from. Like many Arizona Christian churches, our Phoenix church is an evangelical Bible church offering contemporary worship services and ministry for your family.

What makes our Arizona church unique is the emphasis on expository preaching on Sunday mornings and in Peoria Bible study groups, coupled with our commitment to keeping a contemporary environment of warmth and grace. At Lake Pleasant Community Church in north Peoria, Arizona, you will find a group of believers dedicated to sound doctrine and a home where you can be yourself.

Our contemporary church is a place where you can be challenged without feeling obligated. The evangelical ministry at Lake Pleasant is geared to reach each one of us wherever we are. The emphasis on expository preaching is not just a Bible study, it’s truth made relevant in real life.

The heart of the evangelical purpose behind Lake Pleasant Community Church is this: to maintain the same beautiful balance of grace and truth that was exemplified in Christ’s ministry to us. Christ ministered to real people with real concerns, and did not make them change their ways before they became acceptable enough for His love. At the same time, Christ Himself said He did not come to bring peace. He never hid from us the reality that His ways are often difficult. At our Arizona church of Lake Pleasant Community, we want the only obstacle between each one of us and our faith, to be the simple and perfect cross.

We encourage you to experience with us both the excitement and peace of an ongoing, reliant relationship with Jesus Christ. We extend to you our warmest invitation to our evangelical Bible church, our contemporary worship services, the small home groups in our Peoria Bible studies, and to be challenged in hearing verse-by-verse expository preaching. While the number of Phoenix, Arizona Christian churches can seem overwhelming, we hope you will find your Phoenix church home within the family of Lake Pleasant Community Church.

Every group, organization and church has a set of values. Some are spoken out loud and others are never talked about, but you can sense them from the time you enter the room. It is our desire that you will not only hear us speak of our values, but that you will actually experience them for yourself.

At Journey, our values flow from our leader – Jesus. When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus said to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves. With this in mind, our values are:

Passion for God

People regardless of their past

Personal and intentional relationships

Practical love expressed to our city and world

What should I expect at church?
Our services last for about 70 minutes. Our worship team plays 4-5 upbeat songs and a speaker gives a 25 minute message that is relevant and engaging. Please know that we will never single you out, or embarrass you in any way. We want you to feel comfortable enough to connect with the personal hope and practical help that God offers us. Did I mention the free doughnuts and coffee?

What about my kids?
We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We want to make sure that both of these goals are reached. During our weekend service, we offer care and programs for your infants all the way up to sixth graders. Check out the Road Trip section of our website for more information.

What should I wear?
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.

We are real people infused with dynamic faith, committed to a common vision, joined together in covenant love. We are Matures, Boomers, Busters, and Tweenies. Sociologists are blindly convinced that we shouldn’t enjoy each other’s company, but we do. We love the camaraderie we find in this family called City of Grace.

We believe in multicultural and multigenerational ministry. We have built our foundations on the timeless traditions of our spiritual forefathers. And we have rejected those fleeting fads, which leave little impact upon a generation. We are committed to three keys to life giving ministry: biblically literate, culturally relevant, and spiritually sensitive.

We are passionate about church planting, church life and church growth. We revel in big crowds and are committed to small groups. We find the Kingdom in both. Our hands are in the dirt, putting broken things back together, like families, communities, cities, and nations. We have big dreams. We serve a good God. The nations are His dwelling and our lives are His vessels.

We minister to the abased and the exalted. We feel compassion for the poor. Our doors are open to the rich. We believe God wants to prosper those who ask and believe. We have learned to maintain our souls in the rhythm of abounding and abasing, direction and uncertainty, words and silence. We are comfortable with oxymorons. We have made peace with paradox. We celebrate humanity. We worship Deity. The God we adore is deeper than our thoughts and greater than our vanity.

We haven’t checked our brains at the door, but we have rejected cynicism and skepticism. We aren’t too deep, so as to keep you from finding the bottom, nor are we intellectual snobs. We talk about things that matter to people: their doubts, fears, longings, families, relationships, goals, careers, failures, and successes. We are committed to fleshing out the Gospel as long as it may take us. We attend church consistently, even though we know that the true church is but people. We love to worship and pray and believe and receive. We are committed to integrity and transparency. We are irreverent, adventurous, conservative and serious.

We believe in a bright, colorful, positive, church culture. We abide by faith, hope and love. We are building a church that the unchurched are attracted to, filled with light, life, supernatural happenings, vision, purpose, loving people, great music and life-changing teaching.
